Located at the heart of the University of Essex campus, the M2 and B2C residences provide nearly 650 new student rooms across two buildings. Arranged around landscaped courtyards, the scheme balances a civic presence with a sense of community and calm.
Passage Projects was responsible for the overall structural design, delivering an efficient concrete frame that supports the repetitive residential layout while accommodating the stepped site and varied communal spaces. The structure was optimised for speed, cost, and durability — enabling rapid delivery without compromising on long-term performance.
