The Skater is a monumental work by French artist Xavier Veilhan, permanently installed at AmorePacific’s R&D center in Osan, South Korea. Standing 6 metres tall and cast in aluminium with a polyurethane finish, the sculpture captures a dynamic pose in a bold, faceted form — both futuristic and timeless.
Passage Projects was involved from the concept stage, exploring the structural feasibility of the work and supporting its early development. The challenge was to translate the artist’s vision into a buildable volume, ensuring that the striking instable skater movement can be translated elegantly.
