Artist : Antony Gormley
Horizon Field Singapore is an art installation by Antony Gormley, situated on the rooftop terrace of the National Gallery Singapore. Composed of concentric metal rings — or ‘orbits’ — the work creates a vast open matrix that shifts and reframes the viewer’s perception as they move through it.
It was both a privilege and a joy for Passage Projects to collaborate with Antony Gormley Studio on this installation. We engineered the rings and the interface between the artwork and the rooftop terrace.
Working at the intersection of art and structure, this project wasfor us an opportunity to explore how engineering can support not just form, but sensation — enabling a space where visitors don’t just observe, but feel.
